Building Better Funding Pathways Since 2018
We started lorenthavix because we kept seeing the same problem. Great startups with solid ideas couldn't get the funding they needed. Not because their businesses weren't viable, but because they didn't know how to present themselves to investors or navigate the fundraising process effectively.
The Story Behind Our Work
Back in 2017, I was helping a friend prepare for investor meetings. She had this brilliant SaaS platform for the construction industry—real problem, real solution, paying beta customers. But her pitch deck was a mess, and she didn't understand what angel investors actually wanted to see.
We spent three weeks rebuilding her approach from scratch. Not changing her business, just presenting it properly. She ended up securing seed funding from two separate angel groups within six months.
That's when I realized there was a gap here. Founders are often incredible at building products and solving problems. But fundraising? It's a completely different skill set. And most people learn it through expensive mistakes.
So we built lorenthavix to bridge that gap. Our team brings together people who've been on both sides—founders who've raised capital and investment professionals who've evaluated hundreds of pitches. We teach the practical stuff that actually matters when you're trying to convince someone to invest in your company.
Every program we offer is built from real fundraising experiences—both successful rounds and the ones that didn't work out.
How We Actually Help Founders
We don't promise funding. What we do is prepare you properly so when you get in front of investors, you're presenting your business at its best.
Pitch Development
Most pitch decks try to include everything. We help you figure out what investors actually need to see for your specific stage and industry. It's about clarity, not volume.
Financial Modeling
Investors will dig into your numbers. We make sure your financial projections are realistic, defensible, and presented in a format that makes sense to people who review hundreds of these.
Investor Strategy
Not all investors are the same. We help you identify who's actually relevant for your business stage, industry, and funding needs—then develop an approach that fits their investment criteria.
Due Diligence Prep
When investors get interested, they'll ask for documentation. We help you organize everything in advance so you're not scrambling when someone requests your cap table or customer contracts.
Presentation Skills
You can have a great deck and still bomb the meeting. We run practice sessions where you learn to handle tough questions, explain complex ideas simply, and come across as someone investors want to back.
Term Sheet Navigation
Got interest? Great. Now comes the negotiation. We help you understand what different terms actually mean for your business and your future fundraising options.
The People Behind lorenthavix
Our team includes founders who've raised capital themselves and investment professionals who've sat on the other side of the table. That combination matters because fundraising isn't just about having a good business—it's about understanding what investors are looking for and how to present your company in that context.
Verity Ashford
Lead Fundraising Strategist
Verity spent eight years in venture capital before joining lorenthavix in 2020. She reviewed over 400 investment opportunities during her VC career and led due diligence on 23 investments. Now she helps founders understand what investors are actually evaluating during the fundraising process.
Callum Raeburn
Pitch Development Director
Callum founded two startups before joining lorenthavix. His first company failed to secure seed funding despite having product traction. His second raised Series A within 18 months. That contrast taught him exactly what changes when you present your business the right way to investors.
